Today is World Day Against Trafficking in Persons & Eric spent it at an orphanage in South Sudan.

Each year an estimated 25 million people are trafficked globally. These kids who escaped war & famine are the most vulnerable to be trafficked by foreign governments, transnational crime & terrors groups for sexual exploitation, labor or war fighters.

The conditions at this “orphanage” was horrific: sewage flowing, classrooms that double as “bedrooms” & their kitchen was outside. Armed military personal were also stationed to protect from “intruders”.

I ask where is the UN, USA & African Union to assist the most vulnerable & making sure any aid goes to these kids not corrupt politicians or other local organizations?

Globally, we shall reap what we sow! We must & can do better for mankind.
